This exchange-traded fund collects money from many investors and uses it to buy a basket of stocks that the managers believe are undervalued. Investors buy shares of the ETF to get exposure to these value stocks without having to pick individual companies themselves. The fund makes money for investors through dividends from the stocks it owns and through price appreciation when those undervalued stocks eventually rise in value.
