Aldel Financial II is a special purpose acquisition company, often called a SPAC, that raises money from investors with the goal of buying a private company and taking it public. It doesn't have an existing business but uses investor funds to search for and acquire a target company. The company makes money when it successfully completes an acquisition and the combined company grows in value or gets sold.
